Well done to the amazing Jane Fellows who in July 2022 took on the challenge of cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats in support of 40tude.

The LEJOG challenge is not for the faint-hearted! In 10 days Jane rode 962 miles (over 1,500km) from the UK’s most south-westerly point to John O’Groats in the far north, in temperatures higher than have ever been recorded so far.

In conquering this iconic route that tops many a cyclist’s bucket-list, Jane has helped to raise vital awareness of colon cancer, its symptoms and the importance of getting screened regularly from your mid-40s for this type of cancer, which can be prevented if it is detected early.

The funds raised for 40tude will also help support ground-breaking research already making a difference in improving the early diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer, saving lives.  For more about the inspiring research programmes that 40tude is supporting at St. Mark's Hospital (the national bowel hospital) please see our Projects Funded page.
