If you live in Wales:

People aged between 51 and 74 who are living in Wales are invited to take the test every two years.

Bowel Screening Wales will send you free NHS testing kit - a Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kit - by post and participants are asked to complete the test kit and post it back to Bowel Screening Wales.

If blood is found in your sample you will be referred for an assessment with a screening nurse.  You will be offered further tests, which may include a colonoscopy.

In Colonoscopy the specialist uses a thin flexible tube (a colonoscope) with a tiny camera on the end to look inside your bowel and remove any small growths called polyps. They also use the colonoscope to check the bowel for cancer.
