Well done to our RideLondon cyclists!

Congratulations to St. Mark’s Dr. Michele Marshall, her colleague Dr. Elaine Hui and Andrew Lee who completed this year's Ride London 100 for 40tude.

Regarded as the cycling equivalent of the London Marathon, this 100-mile challenge was the furthest distance attempted yet by Elaine, who took up cycling not long ago, after an ACL repair. 

"It was a real challenge…. On the longer multi day rides we usually eat lunch for a start!" said Michele.  "And lots of walking in bike shoes! But great atmosphere and experience and we stayed almost dry. 
 
"As for Elaine... Awesome lady, first time ever doing a long distance ride like this and held her nerve and rode like a trooper!"
 
Thank you very much to Elaine and Andrew for joining the 40tude 'family,' helping us to raise awareness of bowel cancer, and a greater understanding of the reasons why more and more young people are affected by bowel cancer.
