SCHEDULE GO LIVE

or email [email protected]

BEFORE GO LIVE DAY:

 - On the day of go live you will need to access the dashboard of your domain name servers (DNS)
 - If you do not have access to this, find out what company owns your DNS by typing your url here

ON THE GO LIVE DAY:

There are three steps/records you will need to complete:

1. Add the SPF record (This record helps to ensure that emails sent from the platform to users, e.g. ‘donation thank you’ emails - do not end up in the recipient’s Spam folder).

Please add:

Host: youremaildomain OR @   (this will depend on your domain dashboard)

Type: SPF or TXT

Target/Destination: v=spf1 include:_spf.raisingit.com ~all

Please note: if you already have an SPF or TXT record setup in the dashboard, you can edit them to add include:_spf.raisingit.com as an allowed sender or just add an additional new, separate SPF or TXT record as outlined above.

2. Set up a Web forwarding or 301 redirect (to tell the non-www URL to redirect traffic to the main www URL)

DNS providers handle this in different ways, we've included articles below from popular providers to assist you.

123 Reg Web forwarding

Go Daddy Web forwarding

3. Add the CNAME record. This record will point your website URL to the Raising IT servers and thus make your new site ‘go live’.

Please add:

Host: www

Type: CNAME

Destination/Target: CNAME we will send you

If possible, set the ‘TTL’ field (Time To Live) to 300 - this is 300 seconds (five minutes).

If your dashboard doesn’t allow the TTL to be 300, please make it as low as possible.

** NB You will also need to delete the existing A’ Record for the ‘w ww’ (if there is one) but do not delete any other A Records! **
