What's on 40tude Challenges 40tude's Mount M’Goun Summit Challenge We’re excited to be taking on a fantastic new summit adventure for 2021: our latest “let’s go up up it” challenge! A chance to conquer Mount M’Goun, a stunning peak nestled in a little-known part of the High Atlas mountains and possibly Morocco’s best-kept secret. The M'Goun Massif is a spectacular spine of mountain ridges and sculpted valleys. Located in the remote Ait Bougamez Valley - otherwise known as ‘The Happiness Valley’, which gets its name from its cheerful and welcoming people - this 4,071 metre summit is the second highest point in North Africa. We will follow ancient caravan routes as we trek through the valley and high plateau, finally reaching Mount M’Goun which is the valley’s crowning glory and a superb peak for true adventurers aspiring to get well off the beaten track. The Massif is surrounded by fragrant orchards, dramatic gorges and lush pastures and we discover a hidden pocket of Morocco where travellers are rarely seen. This fully-supported trek is being arranged for 40tude once again by the brilliant team at Tribal Tracks. We hope that you will be reassured by our event partners' policy of doing the right thing for their clients at all times. Tribal Tracks (winners of the 2020 Soldiering On award for Best Best Business Startup) have been certified "We’re Good To Go” by VisitBritain, the official UK certification to signal that a tourism business has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, has a Risk Assessment in place and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. They have also confirmed that if the current FCDO advice against all but essential travel still applies and it is not possible to travel to Morocco on the planned dates in 2021, then they will work with 40tude to postpone the trip until a later date. Deposits and any other monies paid to Tribal Tracks would transfer to the postponed trip. If it is not possible for those who book to make the revised dates, Tribal Tracks will provide a refund in full less a small admin fee (max. £35) which covers insurances that they take out on booking which are non-refundable.
