A huge well done to the brilliant Michelle Mclellan who completed a relay team swim of the Channel in September.

A keen 40tude cyclist, Michelle had been training hard in preparation for this challenge and had already made one attempt to cross the Channel this year. Although Michelle successfully completed her section of the swim, one of the other members of her team was unable to complete their leg meaning that the team’s attempt was not officially deemed to be successful earlier this year.

This time Michelle and her newly-formed team completed their swim in 12 hours 20 minutes.  They too swam mostly in darkness, dodging giant jellyfish but were rewarded by a dawn to remember. Huge congratulations to Michelle and her team members Simon, Stephen, Eion, Gillian and Marco!

Michelle kindly nominated 40tude as her charity to support and has now raised over £1,000 as a result of her swim. If you’d like to congratulate Michelle you can still make a donation on her fundraising page for 40tude at https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/MichelleMclellan1
