The sun shone, the North Sea sparkled, and so too did all who took part in 40tude’s inaugural Golf Tour in the north east of Scotland at the end of April!

For our very first such event, a group of 30+ golfers enjoyed 18 holes at three of Scotland’s finest Championship Courses: none less than Castle Stuart, Royal Dornoch and Brora.

As if the calibre of these courses, two nights’ stay at the Royal Dornoch Golf Hotel and the gregarious company did not already make this a memorable event, our team was blessed with the Highlands’ finest Spring weather. The Scottish sunshine proved an unexpected bonus during three days of sporting endeavour for this group of new and existing 40tuders. Also delighted to meet a new best friend: Jimmy Mulligan. The most intrepid were even to be seen wild swimming in the Dornoch Firth!

Our tour provided the chance to bring new friends into the 40tude family, to explain why we exist and to describe, proudly, the inspiring research, led by St. Mark’s Hospital in collaboration with many other venerable organisations, that we are funding.

Andy Peterson also launched to this group his remarkable 2022 solo challenge: he will be navigating the UK, touching the most southerly, easterly, northerly, and westerly points of the mainland BY BIKE in 7 days. He is riding in memory of Tom Smith, the 40tude ambassador.

Thank you to all who joined this brand-new initiative for 40tude for 2022.  If you’d be interested in joining us for a golfing event in the future please let us know here and we’ll ensure you receive any available details.
