Photo shows 40tude runner Freya Sandberg wearing her Copenhagen Marathon medal

Congratulations to our brilliant supporter Freya Sandberg who ran the Copenhagen Marathon - her very first marathon - for 40tude on Sunday 5th May, in memory of her family friend Saul Neale.

Before her run Freya explained "In November 2022, Saul Neale passed away from bowel cancer. Saul lived life to the fullest, and running was something he did regularly. I will be thinking of him all the way and the courage that he showed in his fight against cancer.

"I have never run a marathon before and this will be a huge challenge for me, but I am doing it for a very special cause and your support would be really appreciated."

Training for her marathon did not prove easy through the UK's long wet winter but no doubt helped Freya to reach the finish line in Copenhagen.

If you'd like to congratulate Freya on this epic achievement there's still time to make a donation on her fundraising page for 40tude here

Well done Freya (and all your running buddies) - we are so proud of you!
